We have sent out a evite message to all doctoral students in the college of ed for a Doctoral Student Forum Picnic on Thurs, July 19. As of July 9, we have 24 attending, including students and faculty. Hopefully there will be a few more students and faculty planning on attending. As always, I enjoyed talking with each and every one of you, and my daughters also enjoyed all the attention. Thanks so much to Diane for graciously hosting yet another doc event. I look forward to seeing you all soon (Sept 29th) at the doc retreat. Please mark your calendars:)
Thanks to everyone who attended the doctoral picnic. The discussions were productive, and Sheri’s presentation on interviewing for faculty positions provided us with strategies to use when we begin our searches. Thank you all for bringing a dish to share. As always we had a lot of food for everyone. My husband and I enjoyed the leftovers. I was worried all day about the pending weather, but the rain held off until evening, so we were able to enjoy the relaxing outdoor atmosphere.
Look forward to seeing many of you at the Doctoral Retreat in Sept.
